Thomas Binary Token (TBT) — Solana Token Management System
A \production-oriented Solana token system\ built around \controlled issuance, metadata, distribution, and verifiable on-chain operations. Thomas Binary Token (TBT) is a \Solana-based token engineering project\ built to demonstrate the complete technical workflow behind \creating, configuring, managing, and distributing a token on-chain. The project combines \Solana's Token-2022 program, TypeScript, Metaplex metadata infrastructure, wallet/keypair management, and automated transaction workflows\ into a modular system for handling token operations reliably. Rather than treating token creation as a single transaction, I approached the project as an \engineering system: establish the mint, manage supply, register metadata, prepare recipient accounts, execute controlled distributions, confirm transactions, and maintain a clear separation between \configuration, wallet authority, and execution. \Live on Solana Mainnet: Thomas Binary Token (TBT) \Mint Address: Gp1xxrbrpZsoVTSvfF1VaPh9ha95XgCdap1s1WGNNhyB \Summary\ Thomas Binary Token is an \end-to-end Solana token management system\ developed in \TypeScript. The system was designed around three core operations: \Token issuance\ — creating and managing token supply through Solana's \Token-2022 infrastructure. \Metadata management\ — associating the token with structured metadata using the \Metaplex ecosystem. \Token distribution\ — securely transferring tokens to multiple wallets while handling \Associated Token Accounts, decimal precision, transaction confirmation, and individual transfer failures. The result is a \modular blockchain workflow\ that separates token creation, metadata registration, and distribution into independently manageable operations. The deployed TBT token provides a \public, independently verifiable on-chain reference\ for the project through Solscan.
Problem and context
A token is more than a mint address Creating a token on Solana can look deceptively simple from the outside. In practice, a \production-oriented token workflow\ requires several systems to work together correctly. Supply has to be created and allocated using the \correct token program. Metadata has to be associated with the \correct mint. Recipient wallets may not yet have token accounts. Human-readable token amounts need to be converted into \exact on-chain units. Transactions need to be \confirmed rather than simply submitted. And private signing credentials must never become part of the application source or repository. For TBT, I wanted to solve this as an \engineering problem rather than a one-off blockchain script. The objective was to create a system where token operations were: \Modular \Explicit \Verifiable \Recoverable \Environment-aware \Secure by default
